Through this course, participants will explore the foundations of astrology through the lens of herbalism. We’ll cover the twelve zodiac signs, planetary archetypes, astrological houses, and the four classical elements — Earth, Water, Fire, and Air — all woven together with corresponding plant energies and personalities.

You’ll learn to understand planetary rulership’s and how the doctrine of signatures helps us recognize the cosmic story each plant carries. We’ll explore how timing matters in medicine-making, working with lunar phases, retrogrades, and solar returns to craft remedies in alignment with the rhythms of the sky.

At its heart, this course is about cultivating meaningful relationships — with the plants, the planets, and the stars. Through direct experience, ritual, and remembrance, students are invited to return to the ancient ways of knowing, where herbalists were also sky watchers, and every remedy was a bridge between heaven and earth.

Meet Your Teacher

Lupo Passero is a community herbalist, educator, and ritualist who has been working with plant medicine for over 30 years. As the founder of Twin Star Herbal Education and Community Apothecary, Lupo has dedicated her life to training budding herbalists and tending the intersection of personal, ancestral, and ecological healing. Her work is rooted in a deep reverence for the Earth and the belief that the medicine we need is often growing right at our feet. A lifelong student of the natural world, Lupo brings decades of clinical, ceremonial, and grassroots experience to the classroom.

Since she was a teenager, Lupo has also been a devoted student of the stars, exploring astrology not just as a system of insight, but as a living language that mirrors the cycles of nature and the inner terrain of our bodies and spirits. Her love for pairing plants with planets has grown into a rich, intuitive practice that weaves the patterns of the cosmos with the energetics of herbal medicine.

In As Above, So Below, she brings these teachings together in an immersive journey that invites students to see the macrocosm within the microcosm and to trace the roots of healing from the soil to the stars.

when will we meet

This live course will be taught over four weeks, with one evening session per week. Each session includes a live class followed by a Q&A with Lupo, offering plenty of time for discussion and deeper exploration.

All sessions will be recorded and available for replay. You do not need to attend these classes live, although we recommend you to.
