Twin Star Herbal Education is based upon the perfect trifecta of merging the Art, Science & Spirit of Herbalism into all of our offerings. Our in-person and live community classes, include Herbalism & Flower Essence Certification courses, Green Witch and Goddess Trainings, Advanced Herbal Mentorship, and more. Our passion is to profoundly prepare students to be immersed into a true knowing of the plants, which we honor through these sacred studies. Lupo and Twin Star's staff of knowledgeable and heart-led teachers offers a myriad of classes ranging from evening or half-day workshops to two-year+ professional certificate trainings.
We have two locations: Twin Star North, in the beautiful hills of Western Connecticut, and Twin Star South in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains of Asheville, NC. Wherever you choose to study, our programs are meant to empower you to reconnect with your herbal traditions and help you to foster your innate knowing within and (if desired) to become a professional & certified practitioner.

Level One: Twin Star South: Foundations of Herbalism is a deeply immersive in-person herbal training that brings students together in community to learn the art, science, and spirit of plant medicine through hands-on experience, seasonal engagement, and rooted ancestral teachings. Held in the rich herbal landscapes around Asheville, this live course offers embodied practice with plant identification, remedy-making, foraging, energetics, and earth-based rituals that deepen your confidence and connection to the plants and to each other. Many participants consider it one of the most transformative ways to begin or deepen an herbal path because of its blend of experiential learning, community, and direct engagement with the living herbal world.
Level Two: Herbal Practice & Protocol: Advanced Herbal Training is an advanced online program paired with four in-person medicine-making days for students ready to deepen their herbal skills beyond the foundations. The course focuses on assessment, formulation, protocol-building, and herbal case studies, blending traditional herbal wisdom with practical modern applications. With over 100+ materia medica woven throughout the training, this program is designed as a bridge into clinical herbalism and helps students build confidence, strengthen their craft, and prepare for the next step into clinical-level study. Our Foundations of Herbalism or similar herbalism course is a prerequisite to enroll in this program.
Level 3: The Practicing Herbalist is an advanced, in-depth online training designed for herbalists who are ready to step fully into the art and discipline of clinical herbal practice. This program emphasizes real-world application for budding practitioners through live case studies, mentorship-style teaching, clinical thinking, and community engagement, helping students refine their skills in assessment, formulation, and client support. With a strong focus on developing a grounded, ethical, and embodied approach to clinical herbalism, Level 3 prepares graduates to practice herbalism confidently and ethically, whether in community settings or personal offerings. Our Foundations of Herbalism and Practices and Protocols of Herbalism (or similar herbalism courses) are a prerequisite to enroll in this program.
The Flower Essence Practitioner Training is a thoughtful and immersive program designed for students who want to deepen their understanding of flower essences and integrate this subtle medicine into their healing practice. Grounded in plant energetics, case study work, and compassionate listening, the course guides you through advanced theory, formulation, and application so you can confidently work with flower essences for emotional and soul-level support. This training prepares practitioners to offer flower essence support with clarity and integrity, blending ceremonial wisdom with practical skill in a way that honors both client experience and the intelligence of the plant spirits. The Art of Flower Essence Therapy online course is a prerequisite to enroll in this program.

The Wild Foraged Apothecary: Learn how to identify, harvest, and transform wild medicinal plants into your own herbal remedies in this hands-on, in-person workshop series set in the Appalachian mountains. Across each full-day experience, you’ll create teas, tinctures, syrups and salves using fresh, locally gathered plants while gaining practical skills in ethical wildcrafting and herbal preparation. You’ll leave each workshop with take-home medicines, foundational knowledge, and a deeper connection to the land and its healing potential.
Foundations of Herbalism - weeklong intensive is a rare opportunity to step fully into the study of herbalism. Each day you will work directly with medicinal herbs, building practical skills in plant identification, ethical wildcrafting, and hands on medicine making while deepening your understanding of herbal wisdom. This training is designed not only to teach skills but to create an experience. Spending time learning in nature, working with your hands, and sharing space with a community of students allows the knowledge to take root in a way that is both meaningful and lasting. Many students find that a week of focused, immersive study offers a depth of learning that is difficult to access in everyday life and can be paired beautifully to help support an online herbal education.
Backyard Herbalism is an accessible and engaging in person course that teaches you how to identify, harvest, and work with the medicinal plants growing right outside your door. Designed for beginners and budding herbalists alike, this program helps you build confidence in plant identification, deepen your connection to the natural world, and learn simple, practical ways to make herbal remedies from common wild and garden herbs. The Green Witch In-Person Immersion (Asheville, NC) is an intimate weekend gathering devoted to the living wisdom of the Green Witch path, offered annually and held in the Appalachian Mountains during a potent seasonal time. Participants explore seasonal ritual and ceremony, herbal lore and plant allies, hands-on herbal apothecary creation, spellcraft, divination, song, and embodied earth-based spiritual practice, tending relationship with the natural world as teacher, ally, and co-creator. Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners seeking to deepen their connection with seasonal magic and plant allies through community, ritual, and immersive experiential learning
Ritual Herbalism Weekend Immersion (Asheville, NC) is an experiential, in-person gathering that invites you to deepen your relationship with plants, ritual, and the cycles of nature through hands-on practice and shared ceremonial learning. Over the course of the weekend, you’ll explore earth-based rituals, plant wisdom teachings, medicine-making, and seasonal observances that support a grounded and embodied herbal path. This immersive experience offers space for connection, reflection, and community, helping you integrate ritual and herbal practice into your everyday life with intention and heart.
