Join us as we gather at one of the most abundant moments of the year, when fields, forests, and hedgerows offer their final gifts before the Autumn Equinox. This is the season of roots swelling beneath the earth, berries ripening on the branch, seeds carrying the promise of another year, and mushrooms emerging from the quiet places of the forest. It is a time to slow down, pay attention, and enter into deeper relationship with the wild generosity of the land.
Throughout this immersive weekend, we will honor the Art, Science, and Spirit of Herbalism through ritual, prayer, observation, ethical harvest, and hands-on medicine making. Together we will walk the landscape, deepen our relationship with native medicinal plants and fungi, practice ethical and sustainable harvesting techniques, sing to the plants, offer gratitude for their gifts, and remember that every remedy begins with reverence. We will explore the craft of magical medicine making using fresh roots, berries, seeds, and mushrooms gathered from the landscape, transforming the season’s abundance into potent herbal remedies. Participants will leave with practical skills, handcrafted medicines, a collection of recipes and songs, and a deeper relationship with the plants long after the weekend has ended.
Throughout this weekend immersion, we will strengthen the craft of intuitive and ritual herbalism while learning how to transform the season’s abundance into powerful herbal medicines. Together we will prepare potent and seasonal herbal remedies using fresh roots, berries, seeds, and mushrooms gathered from the landscape. We will also craft seasonal herbal syrups, prepare a richly aromatic seasonal herbal amaro that celebrates the flavors and medicinal gifts of the harvest, and create a variety of remedies to take home. Along the way, we’ll discuss the proper techniques for drying, storing, and preserving our herbs and medicines so they may continue to support us throughout the autumn and winter seasons.

Our weekend Immersion will meet for two days from Saturday, September 19-20 2026.
Classes will be held from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
There is an option to carpool in which we will meet at 9:30 a.m. the morning of each class.
The exact address will be sent after registration. We ask that people bring a packed lunch. The morning will be spent doing plant walks and wild crafting, and in the afternoon, we will be making medicine together.

Lupo grew up in woods of the Northeast, her paternal Grandmother was a wise woman, a Strega, from Southern Italy. Her Great Grandmother came from Knocknashee, the Druid Hill of the Fae, in Ireland. Since childhood she has been creating circles, hosting ceremonies, and holding ritual space for others. At 18 she was pulled to the heart of the Appalachian Mountains where she began her botanical studies with a variety of folks, namely the plants but also many great human teachers as well. At an early age she also participated in Moon Circles and was introduced to the Goddess tradition which helped to connect the dots to her Celtic and Italian American heritage. It was in this overlap of studies where she was first began to integrate the concept of the Ritual Herbalism.
A practicing Herbalist for nearly three decades, Lupo has had the privilege to teach thousands of students the Art, Science and Spirit of Herbalism as well as, the way of the Green Witch and ancestral healing, which has always centered around ceremonial and earth-based practices. Lupo has deepened her relationship within her own practice and herbal lineage by sitting at the feet of as many teachers as possible.

Our Weekend Immersions, although connected to our Foundations of Herbalism program, are more condensed offerings open to both FOH students and the public. Where FOH runs from March-October, this weekend immersion runs for two days only.

Students are expected to show up for the entire weekend, but this is not a certification course so if folks have to miss a portion that is accepted.

This program blends the heart of traditional herbal wisdom with hands-on practice, spiritual connection, and community care. Students don’t just learn about herbs they learn how to live in relationship with them. Our incredible teachers, all from diverse herbal backgrounds create a rich, supportive environment for deepening both skill and soul.
