Do you have an interest in becoming an herbal teacher and/or mentor? Would you be excited to be a part of a highly sought after and rewarding herbal classroom experience as more than just a participant? Then our Herbal Teacher Apprenticeship Program may be a good fit for you!

During this unique and rewarding teacher mentorship opportunity, you will work closely with Community Herbalists and Educators Lupo Passero and Rebekah Sutter as well as a variety of other experienced Twin Star instructors. This apprenticeship program is meant to support budding herbalists who hope to become herbal teachers, and for those wanting to delve deeply into the world of education on medicinal plants, flower essences, herbal gardening, and herbal medicine production.

Most of the tasks apprentices will be required to perform are directly related to educating Twin Star students about plants, gardening and wildcrafting, flower essence therapy and making herbal preparations. Apprentices will gain valuable skills by working directly with our numerous students, building your skills as an herbal educator. Additional tasks include preparing the classroom and materials, filing, tracking and reviewing homework, setting up medicine making demonstrations and preparing for the class ahead each day/week/month.

We are currently accepting applications for our 2023 courses. These positions will be available to Twin Star graduates who have an interest in herbal education on a full to part-time basis.

Prerequisite:

Applicants must have already satisfactorily completed the Twin Star course for which they are applying to be a teacher’s assistant. This will enable apprentices to competently deliver content, materials and lectures and medicine making demonstrations as needed.
