We Believe That Herbalism is the People’s Medicine…
And that all people should have access to herbal medicine and affordable holistic health care. We believe that this journey begins with education and empowering oneself for a healthy future. The natural world has so much knowledge and wisdom to offer us if we just open our hearts to listen and take the time to remember the medicine of not only the Earth but of our Ancestors as well. As facilitators and teachers of the ancient earth crafts, we recognize our individual privilege and ability to practice herbal healing modalities and honor the fact that not all people have had this same privilege.
Our scholarships are meant to help support those who are part of a minority and/or oppressed group as well as those with limited financial means. We recognize that members of the BIPOC and LGBTQ communities, and immigrants and refugees have been left out of far too many equations, including the recent resurgence of herbalism. In addition, these groups have been frequently omitted from the greater narrative of the history of herbalism (and history in general), in which they played a vital role. Historically, marginalized groups often have not (and still do not) have their healthcare needs adequately met by the mainstream system, and as a result have turned (or returned) to the healing power of plants. We seek to make herbalism accessible to everyone, regardless of identity or financial limitations.
Here at Twin Star we have always met folks who have reached out for financial help with private individualized discounts. We are now pleased to offer a public scholarship model to make accessibility even more readily available to those in need of assistance.
We award 25% to 50% scholarships annually for each of the following courses:
o Level 1 Foundations of Herbalism Certificate Training in CT
o Level 1 Foundations of Herbalism Training in Asheville, NC
o Level 2 Herbal Practice & Protocol (Live, online and in-person)
o Flower Essence Practitioner Training Program
o The Practicing Herbalist Clinical Training Program
We award 25% to 50% scholarships annually for each of the following ONLINE courses:
o Foundations of Herbalism Home Study Edition
o The Art of Flower Essence Therapy
o The Green Witch Immersion: Magical Herbalism & the Way of Witches
o Journey Through the Wheel Immersion
Please note that we intentionally choose to offer 25% to 50% scholarships so that we can provide assistance to a larger number of folks. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
