Journey Through the WHEEL OF THE WITCH:
A Year of Pagan Sabbats

an online journey through the eight scared holy days
with herbal witch lupo passero

Journey Through the Wheel of the Witch celebrates the sabbats (the major holidays) based on ancient pagan and earth based religions and traditions. These holidays (holy days) are celebrated by various branches of Paganism, including Wicca and Witchcraft throughout Europe, the United States and throughout the world. We will be honoring the traditional ways and the various and deeply rooted traditions, rituals and ceremonies passed down from the from many of our European Ancestors.

For those of Native European decent, many of our stories, legacies and earth medicines have been stripped from us, burned, buried and nearly lost over time. But it was not that long ago that our ancestors were still closely connected to the Earth and the centuries of healing practices, ritual and ceremonies of the land were alive and well. These practices were past down via the oral tradition and so it is, in that spirit, that we re-member and continue to celebrate and honor the healing legacy of the wild Irish roots. You do not have to be of European decent to join us on this journey, for all earth religions are the Peoples Medicines and teachings of the Earth are meant to be shared, borrowed, explored and expanded upon. If you have the call, in your heart, to get back to the land, worship in nature, celebrate with community and rise in spirit, then this is the place for you. We hope that you will join us.

Led by Lupo Passero, a second generation Italian-American on her fathers (masculine) side. Lupo was taught early on by her grandmother, a Strega from Italy, the ways of the wise woman. She is also third generation Irish-American on her mothers (feminine) side, and comes from a long line of Druids and Healers who stem from Knocknashee, known as the legendary “Hill of the Faeries”, one of Ireland’s seven most sacred hills. She has a deep connection to her roots and the ancient ways of her ancestors and has been a practicing witch for over 25 years, incorporating teachings and practices from her European roots and pairing them with the North American landscape. Lupo has raised two children (and countless fairy goddess-children) in celebration of the pagan path and will share stories, rituals, songs and more meant to be incorporated into your solitary practice or with friends, family or community.

There are eight Sabbats that witches, pagans, druids and others believe that make up the what is called the Wheel of the Year. These Sabbats, or holy-days are based on ancient pagan holidays marking the changing of the seasons, specifically the earth's changing rotation and relationship with the sun and the stars. There are cross-quarterly days and quarterly days. The cross-quarter days are also known as the Major Fire Festivals and include: Imbolc, Beltane, Lammas, and Samhain. The quarter days are made up by the Equinoxes (spring and autumn) and the Solstices (summer and winter).

Join us as we meet virtually throughout the year and learn to celebrate the seasons with each turn of the wheel, while remembering the wild roots and the legacy of those who have walked before us.  Each online journey with be filled with history, ceremony and rituals as well as traditional prayers and songs meant to be shared in celebration of the quarterly and cross quarterly holy-days.  You will learn how to deepen your connection with the Earth and Spirit and take aways skills, tools, ceremony and rituals that you can utilize in the years to come. Together, we will honor the ancestors, ancient rites of passages, elementals and healing herbs associated with each each of the Sabbats.
