BOTANY FOR HERBALISTS
Just like us, plants have a variety of different body parts. These parts all have special, important functions that help the plant live a strong, healthy life. Botany is a part of science that focuses on the study of plants and plant parts. Knowing some basic botany helps herbalists to recognize & identify plants and understand which parts are used in medicinal remedies. Knowing about botany helps you understand the language of plants and how they "talk" to us. In the Plant Wisdom Wednesday, herbalist Haley Neddermann will go over plant parts, shapes and textures, identifying features and more! Getting more familiar with the science of botany can be a very helpful tool for an herbalist in getting to know our herbal allies on a better level!
