0-1.jpeg

In Person Workshop!

Gather your magic and come craft your very own broom (or a few!)! Join broomsquire, Paskalini Savopoulos, here at Twin Star for this this workshop where you will get an introduction to broom making! You will learn all the basic skills to construct your very own hand brooms. We will work through 2 styles and everyone will walk away with 2 different hand broom variations and learn how to do the woven handle technique. In addition we will cover material prep, and supplies needed to work at home.

No prior experience is needed but moderate upper body strength and manual dexterity are required. If you want to learn a new skill, make some beautiful and useful whisks that sweep like a dream, and spend the day in good company then join us for a day of broom making!

Class size limited to 10.

Paskalini is a Broomsquire, craftswoman, and avid maker located in the Lower Hudson Valley, New York. As a Craftswoman and teacher she strives to broaden people's perspectives of the natural world through the art of the broom-- from identifying new materials in nature to work with, to realizing the joy of sweeping with a handcrafted broom. She is always seeking to expand her own skillset and continue learning with other broom makers as well as sharing the art of the broom with the world.
