Meet Your green guides

Lupo grew up in the Northeastern woods with her paternal grandmother, a Strega (wise woman) from Southern Italy. Her maternal great-grandmother came from Knocknashee, the Druid Hill of the Fae, in Ireland. She has been creating circles, hosting ceremonies, and holding ritual space for others since childhood. At 18, she was pulled to the heart of the Appalachian Mountains to begin botanical studies with a variety of folks, namely the plants but also many great human teachers. She participated in Moon Circles from an early age, marrying her Celtic and Italian-American heritage through the Goddess Tradition. This overlap of studies is where she began to integrate the concept of the Green Witch and connect deeply with the natural world. She has deepened her relationship within her own lineage and helped others do the same by sitting at the feet of many teachers. For decades, Lupo has studied and taught thousands of students the art of Ritual Herbalism, the way of the Green Witch, and ancestral healing, always centered around ceremonial and earth-based practices.

Rebekah first joined the Twin Star Tribe in the summer of 2013. Since then she has completed various herbal trainings including: Foundations of Herbalism, Practices and Protocols of Herbalism, Tropical Herbalism in Costa Rica, Flower Essence Practitioner Training and our Seed to Market Advanced Herbal Training. She has served as the Twin Star Herbal Apprentice for nearly seven years and has helped Lupo co-teach a variety of classes throughout that time. Rebekah skillfully creates and crafts the majority of herbal preparation in our apothecary and is also co-teaches in the Art & Science of Herbalism, The Spiral Path Women’s Medicine Way Course, Foundations of Herbalism and Introduction to Herbalism courses. She also hosts and organizes both the Plant Partner and Plant Wisdom Wednesday monthly offering as well as our 13 Moons Women Circle. Not only is she an up and coming Herbalist, she is also a talented artist, with an emphasis on the divine feminine and botanical prints.

No, there is no pre-requisite for this program. Many of our participants have a background in herbalism, but this class is absolutely perfect for beginners and for those those who want to add to and enhance their herbal craft. We recommend the following courses if you are interested in perusing the plant path as an herbalist.

Yes! While this course is entirely online and self-paced, we also offer seasonal in-person workshops and classes at our Twin Star locations in Asheville, NC and New Milford, CT. Students enrolled in the online program are always welcome to join us in person to deepen their studies, meet the plants face-to-face, and connect with our vibrant herbal community. As a student, you also have the opportunity to join us for any of our in-person immersions:
