Herbal Training Programs
Level One: Foundations of Herbalism is a deeply immersive in-person herbal training that brings students together in community to learn the art, science, and spirit of plant medicine through hands-on experience, seasonal engagement, and rooted ancestral teachings. Held in the rich herbal landscapes around Asheville, this live course offers embodied practice with plant identification, remedy-making, foraging, energetics, and earth-based rituals that deepen your confidence and connection to the plants and to each other. Many participants consider it one of the most transformative ways to begin or deepen an herbal path because of its blend of experiential learning, community, and direct engagement with the living herbal world.
Level Two: Herbal Practice & Protocol: Advanced Herbal Training is an online program paired with four in-person advanced medicine-making days for students ready to deepen their herbal skills beyond the foundations. The course focuses on assessment, formulation, protocol-building, and herbal case studies, blending traditional herbal wisdom with practical modern applications. With over 100+ materia medica woven throughout the training, this program is designed as a bridge into clinical herbalism and helps students build confidence, strengthen their craft, and prepare for the next step into clinical-level study.
Level 3: The Practicing Herbalist is an advanced, in-depth online training designed for herbalists who are ready to step fully into the art and discipline of clinical herbal practice. This program emphasizes real-world application for budding practitioners through live case studies, mentorship-style teaching, clinical thinking, and community engagement, helping students refine their skills in assessment, formulation, and client support. With a strong focus on developing a grounded, ethical, and embodied approach to clinical herbalism, Level 3 prepares graduates to practice herbalism confidently and ethically, whether in community settings or personal offerings.
Wildcrafted Apothecary is an advanced, hands-on in-person immersion designed to deepen your relationship with local plants and expand your medicine-making skills through experiential learning. Participants must have completed Foundations of Herbalism or a similar foundational training, as this course builds on existing herbal knowledge and moves into more advanced plant identification, ethical wildcrafting, and remedy-making. In addition to crafting potent plant medicines, students will learn how to formulate, label, and prepare herbal products for market, offering a grounded and practical pathway for bringing your apothecary work into the world.
